Employers have no legal right to sit in on a worker’s medical consultation, according to employment law experts.

Miles Heffernan from IR Claims warns workers to never allow employers, or their representatives, to sit in on medical consultations.

“What happens in a medical consultation is between you and your doctor,” he said.
